The latest trailer for the gritty film “The Tax Collector,” written and directors by David Ayer, showcases the intensity of the story.
“The Tax Collector” will be available On Demand and in Digital August 7.
Synopsis:
David (Bobby Soto) and Creeper (Shia LaBeouf), are “tax collectors” for the crime lord Wizard, collecting his cut from the profits of local gangs’ illicit dealings. But when Wizard’s old rival returns to Los Angeles from Mexico, the business is upended, and David finds himself desperate to protect what matters more to him than anything else: his family.
“The Tax Collector” stars Bobby Soto, Cinthya Carmona, George López y Shia LaBeouf.
With a trailer, with intense scenes and dialogue, fans of writer-director David Ayer can see much of the style from his prior films like “End of Watch” and “Training Day.”
Los Angeles is prominently the background for “The Tax Collector,” as Ayer seems to try and show a unique perspective of the city through his films.
The gritty action-thriller “The Tax Collector” is not rated and runs 95 minutes.
